OUR LENTEN/EASTER SCHEDULE

Each year we embark on a journey with Jesus to Jerusalem where he will be betrayed and crucified.  We join in the joy of Easter morning as we  celebrate together.

ASH WEDNESDAY, March 9, 7:00 p.m.:  Ashes are a symbol of rentance as we humble ourselves before God.  In Biblical times, ashes were a symbol of regret.  We begin our walk with Christ knowing that our sin creates the necessity of the cross.  Ashes are also a symbol of beginnings for the Lenten journey, declaring our willingness and commitment to Jesus'call "Take up your Cross and follow me."

SHARED SUNDAY EVENING LENTEN SERVICES:

  March 13:  6:30 p.m. at Zion Reformed Church.  Rev. Linda Myren from Immanuel will present the message on Matthew 4:1-11.

March 20:  6:30 p.m. at Immanuel UCC.  Rev Art Zebert from Zion will present the message on John 3:1-17.

March 27:  6:30 p.m. at Zion Reformed Church.  Rev. Linda Myren from Immanuel will present the message on John 4:5-42.

April 3:  6:30 p.m. at Immanuel UCC.  Rev Art Zebert from Zion will present the message on John 9:1-41.

April 10:  6:00 p.m. at Immanuel UCC.  SOUP SUPPER served by Senior High Youth. (free will offering). Worship to follow.  Brook Boehmler from Immanuel to present the message.

HOLY WEEK:

April 17:  PALM SUNDAY 10:30 a.m. palm parade/confirmation service.

April 21: MAUNDY THURSDAY: 6:30 p.m.  Agape Meal/Tenebrae service

April 22: GOOD FRIDAY 12 hour vigil kept.  Devotional materials provided.

April 24:  EASTER SUNDAY:  7:30 a.m.  Senior High Sunrise Service                                      Breakfast to follow.
